Analytically mindful,
creatively driven
From an early time in my life I knew I wanted to use my creative talents for a living. I credit my grandmother with subjecting me to a near lethal dose of soap operas that drove me toward advertising and design. After all, the colours, sounds and short attention span that television advertising delivered, was more appealing than the drama that was too complex for me as child to follow.
Eventually, I grew to become a creative professional in a business world, learning that advertising and design are largely about storytelling and building a brand experience. Some of those lessons I learned at OCAD University. Oddly enough, along my career journey, I found myself looking out my office window and down the street to enjoy a bird's-eye view of my old alma mater. I couldn't help but reflect on how you never know what journey lies ahead. All you can do is point yourself in the right direction and choose your steps wisely.
Changing one's perspectives is always a healthy thing and I believe strongly in maintaining a child-like passion for all things that innovate design, evolve brands and inspire new ways of perception. Balance is the key between work and life. There are times to be poised and professional with business and ethics every day. At other times I need to balance hard work with a feeling of discovery or adventure. At the best of times, you can have a career that brings you fulfillment with all your personal and professional goals. This is why I'm passionate about what I do; brand building and driving design ideas that evolve with the times.
